My iPhone is practically my lifeline. I use it for absolutely everything; work, school, pleasure, procrastination, you name it! I know I’m not the only one, our generation is completely attached to technology. Below I have compiled my favorite iBooks, Apps, and Blogs that I use the most on my iPhone and iPad. Enjoy!
I have become a huge fan of the iBooks app on my iPhone and have been downloading books like crazy lately. I have found myself opting to read rather than mindlessly scroll through Instagram, Facebook, and Snapchat looking at posts I have seen a thousand times already. (Don’t lie, we all do it!)
My top 3 favs of the moment are:
Rich Bitch by Nicole Lapin: this is an easy to read financial guide (I never thought I would see those words in the same sentence… easy… financial…?!) Yes, it’s true. And to make things even better- it’s a FUN book to read. Lapin really knows her stuff and relays the information, techniques, and tips in a relatable way, regardless of your age or life stage.
Underneath It All by Kate Canterbary: When a book starts out with, “If I
had known I’d have a hot architect balls deep inside of me before the end of the weekend, I’d have made time for a pedicure” you know you’re in for a treat! If you loved Fifty Shades of Grey, this is another one for you. I read this one on the plane back from Hawaii and couldn’t put the thing down. Canterbary really knows how to draw you in giving you both Lauren and Matthew’s perspectives on their intriguing romance.
Do Less by Rachel Jonat: Thank God for this book. Seriously. Do Less has helped me, step by step, to organize my life. From my closet to my bedroom and bathroom to my apartment as a whole. I have taken on the minimalistic mindset that Jonat writes about, and I couldn’t be happier! I find myself completing chores quicker and have way less anxiety in the process.
Gipis, Lorna Jane, and Bumble BFF, the 3 best apps anyone could ask for!
Gipis: this one is for my runners or anybody who wants to become a runner. All you have to do is choose what type of run you want to train for, a marathon, half marathon 10K, 5K it’s all up to you! Then you’re prompted to complete a few extra questions, and the app sets a plan for you to train for the run by a certain date. It takes the thinking out of the equation and leaves you with just the running, simple as that! I am currently training for a half marathon in June so I will update you guys on my progress as I get closer!
Lorna Jane: Not only is Lorna Jane an Australian women’s athletic brand but Lorna Jane, the woman, is an author of inspirational books and cookbooks. Now she has an app, and it is the motivation I need to get my ass to the gym, to cheer up, and to even step outside of my cooking comfort zone (grilled chicken and veggies every night of the week). You can personalize the app and set goals for whatever type of workout you like best and even search for certain recipes. This one’s Heaven sent, I promise.
Bumble BFF: We’ve all heard of those dating apps like Tinder, Grindr,
Bumble, etc. BUT Bumble has an even better addition… BUMBLE BFF! Say you’re new to an area, and you have had a difficult time meeting people because of your work schedule, no worries! Bumble BFF works the same way as it would for dating but allows you to meet others in your area who are also looking to meet new people. It’s amazing! Who wouldn’t want the opportunity to make new friends?! Highly recommended.
Annnnnd, lastly, my 3 favorite blogs (aside from my own, LOL): The Skinny Confidential, My Domaine, and Bloguettes.
The Skinny Confidential: Lauryn Evarts has been a huge motivation for me while building my blog. She has encouraged me to focus more on what I am passionate about rather than my everyday job and class schedule. Not only does she run her blog and update DAILY, she has the best Snapchat with how-tos, her fav products and much more as well as a Podcast that I live for. Every week her and fiancé, Michael Bosstick, give incredibly useful business, life, and blogging advice. Personally, where I am at in my life, it is just what I need for the extra push each week. Lauryn is so open and honest on her blog, and that’s a major reason I love it so much. I can count on useful, entertaining content every time I visit her site. (Not to mention, she has an app version of her blog! Major goals.)
My Domaine: Ugh, I just can’t get enough. Seriously! It’s everything that I’m obsessed with in one place, home décor, career and money advice, and food and travel. Over the past few years, I have been madly in love with interior design and I love to switch up my bedroom with the latest and greatest every once in a while. My Domaine is my go-to for that kind of inspo. Money tends to be a sensitive topic for many people, and I love the way this blog goes about it. The Procrastinator’s Guide to Tax Season, 6 Simple Hacks to Supercharge Your Savings, I mean, need I say more?
Bloguettes: Workshops, tips, tricks and how-tos all in one place. These are the bloggers who want to see other bloggers succeed. They hold in-person workshops and webinars for those out of state to teach photography, branding, how to optimize the use of other social media platforms and much, MUCH more. You can even expect special guests and speakers. My most recent read on Bloguettes.com was 10 Ways to Escape the Internet, and I’d recommend this for anybody who is glued to their devices like me!
That’s a wrap for my favorite iBooks, apps, and blogs of the moment! If you have any favorites, please share! I would love to check them out, xx
