Beauty products are ever-changing and evolving as technology becomes more and more advanced with time. One of my favorite things to do is to try out different skin, makeup and hair care products because I’m always finding something else that I love more than the last product I was obsessing over. The beauty industry is incredibly competitive and this is one reason for the rapid advancement in technology that we see just about every time companies launch their latest and greatest collection.
I decided to try out some products I have been curious about from both a professional beauty supply store and the drug store, and I have compiled my favorite products for this summer below… Enjoy!
Honest Beauty Makeup Remover Wipes, $10.00:
These wipes are unlike any others; they calm and soothe the skin with the help from chamomile, aloe and calendula. The best part about Honest Beauty is that none of their products are tested on animals and contain no animal by-products, sign me up for my monthly subscription!
Glossier Milky Jelly Cleanser, $18.00:
Let me introduce you to Dry Cleansing, aka the holy grail of facial cleansing. This product is applied without water (hence the ‘dry cleansing’). Think about it, why are we watering down our cleanser when we are trying to get the most out of our products? It’s as easy as 1, 2, 3… rub the cleanser all over your face and once you are ready to remove it, run your hands under warm water and repeat step one. Ta da! I swear, you’ll notice an immediate difference.
Bioré Charcoal Cleanser, $6.99:
If you’re not ready to make the switch to dry cleansing just yet, this is another fav. Charcoal has been an ingredient on the rise in beauty products as of late and this facial cleanser is the real deal! The charcoal has the ability to draw out impurities in the skin, and you can see results immediately. I’ll be stuck on this product for a while.
Tarte BB Tinted Primer, $36.00:
I use this primer when I feel like my skin needs a break from my everyday foundation. There are multiple skin care benefits in this BB cream and not to mention the amazing coverage it has! I have tried multiple other BB creams and have not been as happy as I am with Tarte’s product.
Kat Von D Lock-It Tattoo Foundation, $35.00:
I have heard amazing things about Kat Von D’s makeup line but just recently have I decided to take this baby for a test drive! I have nothing but amazing things to say about this foundation; it has full coverage, a matte and airbrushed finish and it truly has the ability for 24 hours of wear.
This powder works wonders to set your liquid foundation or to use as a touch-up powder throughout the day. I have tried just about every translucent powder out there to fight against my oily skin complexion and this did the best job preventing any unwanted shine.
This little guy comes in such a small package but makes all the difference! I have noticed the luminizing drops brighten up my appearance and give me a sun kissed glow, minus the sun! You can add a few drops to your foundation or moisturizer, apply it to your cheek and brow bones or even to your décolletage for an added shimmer!
Olaplex Hair Perfector No. 3, $23.95:
If you haven’t heard about Olaplex yet, you’re about to thank me! For anybody who colors their hair and/or has damaged hair from over processing, this product is a life saver. This technology multiplies and rebuilds the bonds to eliminate breakage. I swear by Olaplex and you will too.
S Factor Silky Smooth, $23.50:
This serum is the second of two products that has changed the game for my hair. I recently went back to my natural blonde hair after being brunette for about five years, and you could imagine the toll this took on my hair. I use this in both wet and dry hair and love the way it feels. Silky Smooth has restored the shine in my hair that I once had.
Catwalk Haute Iron Spray, $22.00:
This heat protectant is light weight and has the best fragrance! We all know it is vital in ensuring healthy hair, and it even adds an extra shine to the finished product. Who wouldn’t love it?! This is a Must. Have.
This little one is a tad pricey but it is worth every penny. For somebody who needs a little more ummph in her hair, this is the product for you! If I am feeling like I need a little texture in my life, I’ll start with a little bit of the balm and build to my hair until I am satisfied!
There’s always that last day before you need to wash your hair and you might just need a little dry shampoo in your life… Tresemmé has delivered. There is no white residue left behind or funky odors. The fragrance is light and airy and this dry shampoo leaves the best voluminous, textured look we’re all craving. This one’s my best kept secret for sure!
That wraps up my must haves! Hopefully you enjoyed my favorite products of the moment. What beauty products are your favorites right now?
